Im having a problem with my rotax, that is spits and farts.
As i come out of corners on to a straight or an area of track that is relatively high speed, as i put my foot down the engine pops and spits aggresively ( to the point where it is jogging me around in the seat .
I can sort of cure this problem if i go along a bit of the straight at 3/4 throttle then apply full throttle half way down the straight. Although this is very annoying as i just get driven by, by the other karts.
The other day everyone else was running in the 152 - 158 jetting range. I was running a 162 and then moved up to a 165, it still didnt get any better. Only when i put a 168 in did i notice a slight improvement. So im geussing this is a fuel starvation issue not related to jetting ( as changing jets dosent seem to affect the problem ) We also changed the float height and that made no difference. I also dont think that the fuel pump is the problem as when being blown through no fuel returns down the pipe, and the fuel pump is practically brand new.
Does anyone have any ideas what this might be? Its starting to get very frustrating and i dont want to waste alot of money on unnesecerry things that i think might help the problem..
Thanks in advance for any help i might receive on this..
Also is there anywhere significantly cheaper to buy mojo D2'S, or are they the same price everywhere?
Thanks again.
