This is to confirm that Beccles Kart Club will not be holding any more club meetings this year due to the lack of race entries and club membership. The circuit has been financially supporting the club for a number of years to keep it running. We are still holding FKS and there are dates on our web site for extra test days made available, with some more being announced shortly in the summer holidays.
It is nice to read the positive comments from people and thank you for that. We will look again at the end of the year to see if there is any change to the clubs situation. We will still run the Non MSA race meeting, as the running costs are not as high and we want somewhere for drivers to race in the area. I have been involved with the club since the late 70's and is therefore very sad that i am the one having to stop one of the oldest clubs in the UK. With the location of the circuit and the current financial climate we do not have the numbers to make it viable. There has been a large investemnt last year in the circuit and its facilities to try and tempt drivers to Ellough. We will still be an MSA registered circuit next year with the view to running the club again.
With the demand for corporate kart events, weekends are prime track time for this and again makes it hard to justify running something which makes a loss.
Again my apologies for having to take this course of action.
