It's really easy to over grip if you are new or haven't done it for a while.
I most of the strength you use should be coming from the shoulder and bicep. Basically push from the shoulder off the back of the seat using the outside arm, the inside one shouldn't be doing much work.
Loads of drivers grip on to the fuel tank and steering column with their knees too, when cornering. Making themselve quite rigid in the kart.
Dynamic weight tranfer from the human body in kart... It's a can of worms everyone has their theories. It depends on a drivers build, size and weight. I do endurance racing and I'm heavier and bigger built than my team mates and I'm able to make the kart slide and do things with it that someone smaller can't for a given setup. Is this a good thing??? don't know??? Not sure there is a black or white answer to 'How a maintaining a good posture helps of hinders the control of weight tranfer through a kart chassis?' Apart from there are an other couple of variables you need to throw at it.
