The profits in general retail karting are tiny, compared to some other businesses....the bigger profits are in having a successful dealership ...and how many of them are there? Not many.
The only way to make serious money in retail karting in to invest serious money to begin with, work very, very hard for years and years..and then sell it for serious money......from the outside it will look like overnight success....its not...it rarely is.
I was involed in the start up ot a huge retail karting business... back in 1976...it was started with 500 pounds, as a side line....sold many years later for...a lot more...the success was built on volume...pile it high sell it cheap!
If you are not happy with you trader..don-t buy from him.....if he is the only one at the circuit with the part you need to carry on racing, i dont think its a rip off if you pay a few more quid for it
