Vince, the clue is in there......
What most people 'claim' to mean by release can be easily explained by describing the opposite of 'release'. People claim that the kart can be 'stuck' on exiting a corner where the revs drop below a point where they can break-traction of the rear wheels and then the 'excess' rear traction stops the revs moving into the 'band' where the kart can accelerate out of the corner.... they claim it to be a bit like in a car 'waiting to come on to cam'. The point being that 'good release' is when the kart DOES move into that 'band' and that the 'band' occurs EXACTLy when they ASK for the power where it can accelerate out of the corner.
Is that what 'number 1 son' is claiming...? because that's what others seem to claim.
If it is, I'll ask you to think about it and see if it makes sense..... I promise that I am NOT trying to 'trap' you. I just find that, when people are asked to 'express' the problem in plain English.... things become clear to them and, very often...... the mystical problem evaporates!
By the way, what the HELL does he mean by 'PING'? Get him to give concise and CLEAR explanations which actually transfer the meaning of what he wants from you. Talk to the great race teams: those teams will tell you that they can deliver a quick kart/car to the driver who can express CLEARLY to them what the kart/car is doing and (sometimes) what the driver WANTS it to do....drivers don't always know best! If the driver cannot tell them what the kart/car is actually DOING, they can't deliver the improvement that he needs.
Personally, I can't automatically assume that Banzai WAS joking. 'Release' seems to be SO esoteric that you'll hear T*H*E MOST spectacular claims about how to cure/deliver it....... including using Helium in the tyres........ yeah!
