Thanks for all the input, but this question seems to have become caught up with what seems to me to be an unnecessary debate about the responsibility of faster drivers to avoid a collision. Nobody would disagree with that, surely - it's not a contentious point. We can agree that fast drivers must take care and responsibility, and also agree (or not) that we have to restrict the speed differential when there is a racing mentality, particularly (perhaps) where cadests are involved. These questions are not opposite sides of the same coin: they are separate questions. For those who have focused on the question of driver responsibility, I would ask: do you think there should be a minimum standard imposed for race weekends or not, and if so, what sort of level? Or, is it just too resrtictive and likely to put people off? Or is this just too boring now? Sorry - just want our little people to be safe :-)
