We were more concerned about the lack of both advance warning (apart from the usual drivers briefing) nor were there any warning flags displayed for the first 177 heat(as was used in subsequent races). The total inconsistency was diappointing. It appears that cadets can have all 4 wheels off the track @ stadium but 177 must not have 2 wheels off @ pylon. I think all concerned can race to an agreed set of rules that EVERYONE is abiding to. The second heat in 177 was driven to the letter of the rules by most drivers so it is possible. These rules must be transparent & equal to all classes. The blue book in section U para 12.5.4 is very clear what is acceptable. However all competitors must understand that whilst there has been an acceptance of a level of kerbing, zero tolerance for just one class makes no sense. I have already written to the club seeking clarification. Ian Moore as the MSA steward seemed clear on what he had done. However some clear direction @ drivers briefing along with clear & enforced penalities would have made the club members a lot happier. There needs to be far better communication on expectations if the club is to prosper in such a difficult financial climate.
