I pay just over 200 fully comp on a Renault Master ....BUT... I am as ancient as itpro (maybe even older as now officially an OAP) have a lot of no claims and so on. If you are just out of uni and have a car that uses your no-claim bonus then qotes in that price range are not too bad. As itpro suggested, your best option is to try and explain that you will only use the van when you are not using your car, mileage will be quite limited (work out just how low this could be). In real terms the risk to the insurance company from you alternating between two vehicles is no worse than if you just drove one every day - except for fire/theft cover. Maybe a visit to an insurance broker would help. On-line is great for a lot of things but a broker may know which companies are more likely to listen rather than just act on which boxes are ticked.
