Yes in particular U12.7-U12.7.3 It is no longer permissible to run any kart engine in the pits or paddock area. Kart engines must only be run in specific areas designated by the organisers and then only for a maximum of 10 seconds.
The dummy grid will be aptly named. I'm sure this is an issue with many classes but I know with Rotax it is important that a carb works through its progression phase. We were told no stand running and engines could only be run on the ground with driver in place within a safe area. I have witnessed some stupid stand running- a Max engine blow and over zealos engine warming at the back of a busy grid.
I don't quite under stand this: U17.29.6 ' When drivers are weighed, they will now be weighed together with their Personal Protective Equipment to address the issue of additional weight being concealed within protective equipment'. Shouldn't it be 'without' PPE?
