I should have looked closer at those homolgation regs pdf, it does actually say 25mm axle. Doesnt help me with widths of sidepod mounts though. Yes you guessed right, was wondering whether a shortened cadet chassis would be ok for practice (not Bambino racing) and then if nipper takes to practice buy them a proper homologated Bambino to race.

Thanks for the input.

One more question, for practice would the Honda GX35 be ok? I did think about a restricted GX120 but its a heavy lump comparitively whereas the Honda GX35 is small, and unlike the Comer fairly quiet, which is also a consideration as noisey engines arent the best introduction Ive found. Appreciate it lacks power, but this is first steps anyway. Any thought?
