I think the alfano is a great tool once you are consistent. it depends on how much data you are looking for and how much time your trying to find. I think you can still mix it on basic karting principles. I only use two functions on it and go for consistency. once your consistent you can make a quick change and if your drivers consistent you can see a step change with an alfano, I think you have to embrace the mychron technology if it gives you a tenth or two but you really need to be on it. Niether an alfano or a mychron in itself will make you go quicker. An alfano is a great tool but somwtimes once you have nominal settings you have a predictable kart and if your chassis is reasonably straight and well set up and your engine is on song and your on the same tyres you should be up there.
