To be honest the whole situation ruined what should of been a good end to a good weekend for us, the Honda cadet race was a good, clean race, I didn't see what was going on further down the grid as I was busy watching the front 2 which was my son Craig no 99 and no 63, both lads drove well, then too be told that because the club/timekeepers/flag marshall had messed up, the KIDS were going to be penalised and they were going to put the race back one lap!!!! what a joke!!! we entered a Honda cadet race event, which was part of our NKF championship, NOT a Honda/Iame race, we questioned the mixing of the grids at the start of the day as we were not happy with this as we were told that there wasn't enough time in the day to run all the races and the 2 races had to be combined, if there was enough time at the end of the day we might be able to have our own finals, maybe clubs need to think about how many classes they are accepting entries for and not to be what seems to basically add up to greed, which causes both the competitors and officials at the event un-neccassary grief and stress!! It was only after about 4hrs of discussions and us having to put a protest fee up that the officials finally agreed that the results as the kids finished should stand, there was other parents also very un-happy with what the club intended to do with the results, but they could not take the chance of losing the protest fee, so had to just leave the circuit not knowing what the outcome would be people have got to remember that these are only kids and a win or a trophy is everything to them. It broke my heard to see my son sat in the presentation waiting for his glory on the podium and nothing!!! he sat there until everybody left, all we were told was the officials were still discussing the results of both the Iame and Honda finals, he was eventually handed his trophy in the paddock at gone 9pm!!!!!
Not very Happy at all over the whole situation
