Next weekend at Rye House there is a race meeting on the Sunday and practice on the Saturday.
Old Skool Karting at its best with plastic free chassis and screaming 100 cc engines and that smell of Castor R that makes you wet yourself.
Oh for a BSA Gold Star!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you fancy showing your kids what karts used to look like and actually see them racing on the Sunday, get yourself down there.
If you're worried about the little ones getting bored, the track has a dinosaur adventure park, a mini kart track, crazy golf and a laser combat facility.
It has a fully equipped bar and cafe with a first floor viewing balcony.
If you get bored you can always take a walk along the canal by the side of the track while Dad drools over the karts.
Perhaps even Alan Dove may be there.
Mike Spencer has threatened to race and has got to start from the back in the heats so you may get to show your kids how the experts get to the front without bodywork.
I suppose I'm going to be accused of advertising but I thought some of you may like a good day out.
