As said previously, decisions made by the clubs to change from AMB to TAG are not vested in commercial interests or loyalties to brands, but based on a number of factors.

And the underlying fact is, that from the timekeeper's point of view, the TAG kit is far superior. Yes the Apex software can use AMB, but you don't get all the functionality out of it unless you replace your decoders with the AMB all-singing-all-dancing ones - which cost a lot more than the comparable TAG kit. So it's a holistic decision on the part of the club as to what hardware and software combination to use.

I suggest those of you who are flustered over this get in touch with your club and volunteer with the timekeeper for the weekend, see how things sit from their point of view with regard timing the race.
