The MSA medical requirement is load of crap, Its meaningless, PROOF:-
Instance NOT heresay,a 16 yr old TKM racer turns up to a Sat morning practice day .He is as it turned out is a diabetic,has a fit before due to go out out in first mixed grid parctice,ends up 1 hr with paramedics in ambulance to stabilise,then 24 hrs in hospital.
MSA Stewards at a meeting he was RACING at a week later can't do anything (Apparently this medical condition is not acceptable by MSA according to their medical officer for a licence ) because he is 16 and his FATHER has not declared his condition so carries on racing .
So where is the need for a medical ???
66 yr old still racing anything has had to have an MSA medical medical every yr since 45 for MSA licences ,my HGV and CPC medicals for trucks and buses have until this year been valid for a 5 yrs,truck 40 ton /56mph, bus 10 ton 56 kids on it 60mph.
