Ok here is the low down, my boy is very nearly 11 and quite a stocky lad although i dont have his exact weight to hand. We race ninja karts (feel free to google) and basically are Honda gx160s sealed at 5.2 bhp and the kart is 125 kg then add the driver so as you can see considerably lower power and heavier than a normal kart. They are geared high and probably get to 40-50mph. I want to get him into karting too and he is at the age where we have a choice of cadet and junior. Whilst junior is probably the best option considering age/weight it has just dawned on me that it might not be a wise idea putting him straight into a 70mph tkm or minimax. We are a budget outfit and want him to be able to run midfield at least cost. Our nearest tracks are Shenington 15 miles Whilton mill 35 miles rISSY 40 miles, so my question is what would be YOUR suggestions to not spend silly money, not keep spending silly money, but be able to get him out there for this year to have some fun?
