"Most clubs, possibly most associations, struggle to get any interest at all in their AGMs, indeed many clubs struggle to get sufficient volunteers to fill the committee posts, except where certain individuals have a particular agenda."
Do you know how many clubs were represented at the ABKC meeting? how many put the view of their members across.
Forrest Edge represented their drivers very well (shows in their grids i feel) TVKC were represented Rowrah was represented very well I thought. As was Shennington. Fulbeck were there South Yorkshire was represented well also. The Long circuit guys also have people there to put their concerns across.
I may have missed a club out but thats a pretty poor show out of 30. If your outside these clubs the members had no representation.
Maybe this is because they feel the ABKC don't represent them well enough to the MSA? Maybe they were busy? Maybe they only join the ABKC because they feel they have to? Maybe there planning to go IKR and don't feel they need to go?
Funny how this all started over a set of number colour for X30 for me (call it the straw that broke the camels back). They could have just listened to the drivers request. The pole of the drivers in the class. The Class promoter James Mills. Instead the MSA said no with no good reasons.
