its lovely to hear people talking about Felton , this is/was my local circuit and as a school boy would go along and watch all the stars of the day . quickoldtimer i too raced at brunton with the schools karting ( and yes it was quite a circuit ) also at albermarle. Felton came to an end around 91/92 many rumours still around today as to why ? Northumbria kart club migrated to teeside/langbargh and then later ran a few meetings at Rowrah . i live local and lucky to have a job in the area that has allowed me to pop over and visit the old circuit at Felton , the circuit is still there and a kart could get around it no problem , the club house has long been pulled down and the grass around the outside is getting long and the road/spectator area adjacent to the main straight has been consumed by the farmers field , but just being there and thinking of all the stars/talent that has raced around those bends ( herbert,coulthard,franchiti,plato, many more ) is haunting ive had a little walk around the circuit and stood at the top bend where the marshal post still stands gives you shivers . Felton was a very old club steeped in history ans was a crying shame the way it came to an end .
