So Paul Scothem actually exists and is a recognised engine rebuilder then?
I mean, even if they has no website, you would have thought a Google search would have come up with something on Facebook or Twitter or even an address search.
The unsuspecting person now seeking an engine rebuild has no protection in this instance if there's no trace of the name or address or phone number of an alleged miscreant and they could be wasting their money and risking their kit.
You need quite a bit of experience to know what to do to a 2 stroke to subtly improve it and try and avoid detection, so I would have thought their name would be generally known for some time.
The worst part is, the user is ultimately responsible for the 'legality' of their equipment, EVEN if it has a seal on it. You expect to be able to trust the people you pay money to.
I do have great sympathy for anyone who has unwittingly been affected and if you're that sure and that disgruntled, let us all know who it actually is!
