We have raced at Clay for many years as we have at many other circuits, Clay is one of the most challenging circuits in the county, yes its not the longest circuit but the variation in corners makes it a technical and difficult circuit to learn. The first corner is no different to any other, there will be contact and there will be karts off the circuit, every Monday someone on this forum is complaining about a first corner incident at the circuit they were racing at. This is a non-contact sport but twenty karts going into one corner the inevitable is going to happen. Identifying the deliberate use of contact thats the problem, thats why we have a Clerk, we have been on the end of some bad and some good decisions but we have always taken the Clerks decision and just got on with our racing, these guys arent perfect. As for the tram lines at Clay, we started from various grid positions, didnt cross the tram lines and guess what, we didnt get penalised. If Lewis Hamilton crosses the white line coming out of the pits he gets penalised, he know this so he doesnt do it, I dont really see the problem?
