no no no; hazel was my "older woman" fantasy when I raced martin, dave hedger, curt guy et al at Nutty in 79; i was 19. bit of a "the graduate" thing" i guess...........

simpson type 41; my old boss mr hines preferred to call it a "star wars" helmet.

who am i? funny you should say that ian. went to kimbolton last month just for a looksy (depressing experience; no gearbox at all, in fact nothing with any grunt, just a bunch of N13 classes none of which went/sounded or smelt right. im partly to blame, i was the first person to race a max in uk of the back of a 100B grid at shenington 1996!I rue the day........)

anyway, having a pee, a guy next keeps looking over quizically and eventually says eventually "didnt you used to be martin gilbert? (")

anyway i have to admit you were ALWAYS quicker than me and with an incredible will to win whereas i lacked your confidence and brio. more of a stealth driver me. but oh, ian; those shunts!
