Buzzin is an odd chap. He takes real offence if I make a 'strong' statement but, by GOD, is he sensitive if you don't immediately say: "yes, Russell, you are wise and sage and we should take you view as gospel, oh mighty one. No one should ever question your morsels beneficence!"
Sorry Russ, you are human and challengeable on ANYTHING: as we all are. I don't accept the idea of an omniscient god and I am not going to take your (or anyone else's) word without question.
If you thought about the Locard Principle (of exchange) in forensic science you'd understand that contact between two objects deposits some the material of each on both. Put WD40 onto the blue-tac, rub it.... and it WILL leave traces of WD40 ON the carpet.
It may be a brilliant method of cleaning a carpet and one I shall almost certainly pinch (and probably claim it to be my own invention!), but I won't pretend that some WD40 WILL not get on to the carpet. Some will, period! Your advice seems to be that the amount that gets on there will not matter, compared to the damage done by the blue-tac..... and that's bl**dy brilliant!
