So....an update. Went back to Hooton on Saturday, another warm sunny day. Got some newer meatier (still part worn though) slicks on and sent him out. First session he was lapping in 57s, not great but he was ok. Still looked like new as struggling with handling though compared to before. Two issues found, the first was I forgot to check tyre pressures before sending him out. When I did check them and the rears were hugely over inflated after getting the newer rubber on. The second thing was on checking front end setup with lasers, things were well out...dot not even on the grid. So fiddled about and got it within a square or so of a neutral set-up. By the last session he was down in the 51s. Still needs a few more hiseconds (perhaps down to 47s a lap off before first IndiKart race. I realised this week he is on a 90T sprocket so will drop to an 88 I think. Having said that his main issue is his lines a hence how much speed he is confident to carry through the corners
