The thing about the foam "helmet support" is it could act as a springboard if compressed. Most certainly makes things worse.
It does its job in keeping the head upright and supports the helmet in high G corners, but I never, ever, claim it "protects" in my literature because I cannot put my hand on my heart and say it does. I genuinely agonise over whether I sell them but people want to buy them so I assuage my conscience by making sure I stress they are helmet supports not neck protectors.
I wouldn't be sorry to stop carrying them, I don't sell that many. But if they were banned or a standard brought in the same dads preaching on here would be whinging about "another nail in the MSA coffin". So be careful if what you wish for!
