Dear karting supporters
Please have a thought for those that live by Fulbeck and will be directly affected by the wind turbine development. A recent poll of those villages nearest returned a >90% opposition to the plan. The local area has campaigned for appropriate renewables including the straw burning power plant and two solar farms. The wind turbines are very close to homes, will significantly increase noise levels year round and more seriously, affect a number of local businesses.
The community has always been supportive of your activities....we do hear the racing engines all weekend and the tannoy, but have never sought to impose restrictions. I'm a motorsport fan myself, regularly circulating Cadwell Park (although on two wheels not four) and join with you in the pleasure we all gain from our machines.
So please see the EnergieKontor proposal for what it is....you are being offered a very considerable and attractive bribe, in order to generate letters of support. There are no guarantees and in fact the wind industry have a poor record on paying out the so-called community fund. Do contact me and I will furnish you with details.
If I cannot persuade you to ignore their offer (and I do acknowledge it is very generous) then please make clear that you are supporting the wind turbine development because of this financial incentive.
One final point; the construction of the wind farm would take around one year and during this period the site will be closed.
Thank you for your time in reading this far
