Personally ,I cannot comment for other Karters, having not been to Kartmania for 6 years ,however after amounting a vast number of Karting bits and pieces over the years we decided to have a good clearout and take some gear belonging to other people as well and do the Kart boot sale. If you are Kart racing the show IS worth it,yes some of the people who take your money don't/didnt support it,so support the ones who do /did .
I spoke with Martin and we secured a place in the FREE Kart boot sale side of the show.
If you wanted NEW ,upstairs was for you ,however GP Racewear were selling end of line Alpinestars gear at less than 1/2 price in the Boot sale area.I think Ian Shaw (Zip N.W.) spent more time meeting his mail order and 3 Sisters customers than selling his 2016 MIR gear upstairs ,leaving it to his wife and daughters. Having attended Autosport and exhibited there in the past THE SHOW was very good,many bargains and deals to be done.The Kart Boot sale was excellent,the amount of top team and other race equipment on sale was well worth the visit i.m.o. We were placed next to the Tillet "mostly 2nds" stall what bargains ,I have had expensive fibreglass racing cars with worst bodywork than these seats that Steve Tillet thought of s seconds !!!he is a perfectionist. Teams selling off 2015 gear off at bargain prices and we did ok as well. pity it isn't a bit further North but overall I felt it was worth it,and the Prizes and Prizegiving for NKF 2015 season was brilliant for the drivers, a series well worth supporting next season.

P.S. Also located in our area were The Ginetta people and FKS what a quiet weekend they had !! It was nice to see The Intrepid UK stand upstairs promoting obviously their brand but also Karting on the race car displayed..
Re not making "racing" cars welcome at kart tracks,I know a Karter of many years who asked a Northern club if a driver could run a miniature (for 8-14 olds) American oval circuit Nascar powered by a Race 270 Honda Kart engine around to run it in for him on a Sat test day luchtime and was refused "as it was not felt in the best interest of Karting" ,the UK was only allocated 10 !!! and he was looking for a Northern kart driver to race one FREE for a season .
