heres my personal experience of wanting to turn up and constructively contribute to a HKC committee meeting, instead of moaning on a forum, in the middle of the 2015 season cadet-karts were flipping over on rolling starts with big crashes, it was obvious that standing starts should be implemented like other circuits had mid-season, I was about to attend a comittee meeting to contribute, then the day before I was e-mailed the exact quote below form a HKC comittee member, which I have copy and pasted from the e-mail:
"We welcome members to our meetings but the Club's Constitution stipulates:
14 Attendance at Directors/Committee Meetings 14.1 Any Member may attend a Directors/Committee Meetings as observer but may only speak if invited so to do by the Chairman"
hence i didnt bother to attend, as this sounded like a north-korean dictatorship and just plain laim.
but hey! all problems are now fixed as the race date has changed to allow all PFI competitors to nurse that rye-house itch and race at the "silverstone of karting".....really!
