The other thing to consider with your chassis choice is what standard of racing your doing, i would agree with "started out fun" winning at club level is possible on a tony but if you want to get to the front at super 1/lgm you won;t with a tony as jewiss proved. We started out at club level did really well and then went to super1/lgm and are doing well there also and have raced zip and synergy. On reflection i would have stayed at club level and just enjoyed the racing. There is too much money being spent by wealthy parents at super 1/lgm level and it is impossible to compete and come in the top 10 unless you are going to spend upwards of �20k regardless of how talented your son is. I wish i had kept it fun at club level and realised sooner that you need money and talent, more often than not an average driver with a millionaire father will win, its a hard fact to take but thats how it is.I see every weekend how much is being spent and it is small change to some of the top 10 parents. After all unless you got a couple of million you aint gonna make F1
