I don't often comment on the site, the drop down bumpers are better than what we had all the pushing and firing people off on the first two bends. The job of working out who did what is very difficult when it all happens in a split second, and you want to make a judgement 100 per cent, not guessing but 100 per cent otherwise is not fair or consistent. there are some winners and losers with the rules but throughout the year i think it evens itself out through it not being seen or someone getting away with putting the bumper back or someone spinning and the innocent party taking a penalty. if people want cameras looked at after every race and everything else checked, smaller clubs don't have the resources to do it, through financial restraints or able to have willing and or competent persons to do it. if you look at the costs of running a race meeting and then adding more staff on top of what is already required the race entry goes up, or the club doesn't survive. since the 70s the cost of race entries have not really gone up certainly not to what people are spending on karting or what facilities are now offered at some circuits. its great if you get the volume of entries but smaller clubs don't and barely cover the costs of a meeting, marshals, scrutiniser, admin, clerks , medical, trophies, timekeeper, thats without having money to invest in new equipment or facilities. 45 pounds we charge for all of that, not sure what you can do for a whole day with other sports hobbies.
