I think 'brake fade' is deterioration of braking effect due to reduced friction, pad to disc, usually a result of overheating of the pad, ie pedal is there and firm but retardation is lost. So imo that's not what you've got. Is the m/cyl brand new or just a s/h replacement. Not a big fan of Kelgate or any self adjusting kart brake but I would expect them to know how to assemble the thing properly. So driver gets a sudden pedal to the floor after a few laps. Does pumping the pedal restore braking straight away out on track? If the m/cyl piston is not returning fully, pumping will have no effect as the front seal will be blocking off the feed from the reservoir, neither will you be able to bleed the brakes for the same reason. Earlier in the thread 'Jeff Johnson' suggested pad knock off due to axle movement as a possible cause. To me this seems to 'fit the bill ' better than any other explanation. How much easier it is to sort out other peoples' problems rather than your own!
