You people are too good to be true!!! Probably not worth it tonight, I have taken the battery off so that I can charge it overnight. I got the kart on Sunday and ran it around Rye House (probably for no more than half an hour on track). Since then I've noticed the leak, taken the carb apart and been trying to start it quite a bit. I haven't yet charged the battery (as it seemed to be turning the engine over well enough), but I understand from various other posts on this site that the battery only needs to loose a volt or two before the engine won't start. What concerned me more was fuel peeing out of the air box! Could that be the result of me blowing fuel into the carb a bit too vigourously. If not I guess it must be the float valve? Anyway, thanks very much for the offer but let's leave it tonight. If it still won't start after I reconnect the battery tomorrow I may well take up your offer for anotehr evening, if you're still willing. Cheers, Paul
