after yet another terrible weekend I have come to the conclusion that four is no longer a number in club racing down south but is a target. Second practice on saturday Mac got hit by an inexperienced driver who charged past waved yellows and the single file of karts filtering past an earlier bump in the bus stop at forest edge to smash into the front wheel of mac's kart and turn a square into a diamond. There was no appology just an excuse of " I had nowhere to go " We straightened the kart as best we could to keep practicing then drove home to straighten the kart properly and back to forest in the morning, a round trip of 250 miles. The heats went ok with 2 firsts and a sixth putting mac on P2. as the cadets went out on slicks it started to spit with rain. A third lap incedent where a kart alongside mac spun out on his own resulted in a black flag for Mac. When i asked the clerk why a black flag was given he said it was for contact. I explained I had been stood on the corner in question and there was no contact. the clerk Then said if that was the case he was sorry for black flagging Mac. Not much consolation I think you will all agree. In his last few races Mac will go back to running 36 then perhaps all the kamakazzee pilots and wanabee's will realise that by beating Mac in a one day sprint race wont make you number 3 in Britain it will make you number 35 in a club race
