I bought my grandson a cheap cadet two seasons ago when he was 6 and so far we have both had great fun. Next season he will be old enough to start racing and with luck the fun will continue � and that�s what karting is about FUN.
I have been involved in motorsport since I was 17 and have watched people throw money at the sport but I must say that since we have had the cadet and followed threads on this web site I am amazed what people will spend on an 8 year old � ten carbs to be sure to get the best one � six engines each tuned by the best tuner � etc etc. But I can assure you that they don�t enjoy the sport any more that we do, in fact probably less. Imagine spending all that money and not winning!!!!
All I want is that my grandson will look back as he grows up and say �didn�t we have some fun�.
