Having acquired a kart (Thanks B, you know who you are!), I need to kit out my 6 nearly 7 year old with safety equipment. He hasn't karted before, so I am looking for good but not expensive kit in case he isn't a fan (Don't worry about kart - I'll use it if he doesn't - it's a full size kart which I will modify for his size).

So, who does the best deals? Most interested in the helmet as to start he can use a boiler suit and normal gloves/trainers (he will be going pretty slowly with a single GX160, probably with a throttle stop, or maybe a governor)

Most prices seem to be in the >�200 price range - bearing in mind my race car helmet cost < �100 seems a bit steep, so maybe I am just looking in the wrong place.
