please please please do not scrimp and save when it comes to your kids safety equipment. helmet, gloves, boots, rib protector, neck brace. when he is staring, he will have accidents, it is a dangerous sport, why take an unnessesary risk with your sons safety to save a couple of quid. take it from someone whos son has had more than his fair share of high speed offs and runs to A&E. our cadet kart cost me 550...safety equipment to start was 650...and worth every penny. his last crash he was passing the end of the pit lane and another driver came out of the pits, straight across the track, my 8 year old son ended up crashing into him then hitting a marshal post 1ft off the ground backwards at about 40mph...not a scratch on him, just a bit shaken..kart was wrecked. good helmet, neck brace and rib/back protector...best money i ever spent. kart can be replaced..he cant.
