hi mate.look,i dont want to come across as some sort of expert on the subject,im more than happy to give any help i can but i have just muddled through myself and done about 5 helmets, learning from each attempt.im a rank amateur! :)
but....yes i use the stuff in the jars and put through an air gun.you can also mix the colours a little if you wish.thin with white spirit to get the right consistency through the air gun.i found the flourescent colours ok too.they are pretty tricky though.i had a bit of a nightmare with a flourescent orange
i did my last effort on a OMP helmet.think it was the cheaper version of the veloce(cost about 100)
i did LIGHTLY sand the helmet first to give the primer something to grip on to
also lightly sanding with fine paper between each spray to get a nice finish
make sure you cover up all vents etc as you dont want any paint to get in and attack the stuff inside the helmet
most important thing is to be patient.let everything dry thoroughly before doing anything
plan out how you are going to tackle the design, which colours you want to go on first etc.
