Hi there,

A few years ago I intended to enter karting in Junior TKM and progress from there. This never happened due to lack of funds and i'm now 17 and am a little bit past the age of chasing my boyhood dreams.

However, even though I sold my kart, my Dad's old Gillard has always been in the garage! I'm not entirely sure when the chassis is from, i would say mid to late 80s and it's complete with it's DAP 100cc engine.

In today's sun I got it out and began to clean it up. I'm going to replace some of the old bits that need replacing and try and get it running.

But my question is, is there anywhere I can race it if I manage to get it all together? I understand that I won't be racing officially (and do I hell want to ruin it by putting full bodywork and full rear bumper on!) but anywhere that organises races for karts from this period?
