Hi all,
Been away from the whole world of Karting for over a year now due to work commitments but finally managed to unearth my Pro Kart from the garage and took a trip down to Angmering. I had never driven their beofre but went over a year ago with the intention of racing but the meeting got snowed off and ive not had a chance to get out on track since!
We got down there at 10 and to our suprise, we were the only ones their, so me and a mate shared the kart for the day on an empty track. Would be interested to find out what a respectable heavy Pro Kart time is. We were both getting to 32.0's by the end of the day. Felt like the kart had room for improvment gearing wise but decided we'd rather get more track time than chase a set up! (lazy i know!!)
Got to say for those who havent been its deffinately worth a look. Steve (who has just taken over the track) is a top guy and was happy to help and even asked us for suggestions on how we thought the track could be improved and genuinly seemed interested in making things bigger and better. For those planning a stag do or just a lads(or lass's!)day out, i know he is doing some awesome (and id say a bit too cheap!) deals for a full days worth of motorsport activities, so get in contact.
By the way i have no vested interest in giving Angmering a plug, just wanted to say how much i enjoyed my first outing in a kart for a while and thanks to Steve. Think i have the bug back now (damm - their goes all my money!!!)
Andy
