I am looking for a pair of electric RC cars for my boys for Xmas, you see loads on Ebay but what do you get for your money? What's the difference between one at �50 and one at �80?
I am looking to spend about �80 on each one but what do I look for? A brushless motor? Ball races? Aluminium capped shocks? Oil filled shocks? 1800mAh/3000mAh batteries? Digital proportional controllers? Don't mean a lot to me!
I hasten to add, the boys will be racing against each other but no-one else, these are just for fun but I want them to be robust enough to last and quick enough to keep their interest (during the winter only of course...).
I think we have identified they will need buggy style cars (as they will be on and off-road) so if anyone could recommend any particular make/model, it would be appreciated.

P.S. we will not be looking at petrol/nitro cars as they would be too much hassle
