Passing the ARKS test will result in a 'Nat B Novice' licence.
To upgrade from a 'Nat B novice' to a 'Nat B' you need to have 6 signatures on your upgrade card. The ARKS test counts as one signature and should appear on the upgrade card when you receive your licence. An additional 5 (MSA race) signatures are needed, these can all be undertaken at the same track as your ARKS test.
To upgrade from a 'Nat B' to a 'Nat A' you need 6 new signatures from MSA races, but these six races must feature at least three different tracks. This could be (for instance) your current (ARKS ?) track you are used to and two others.
The MSA licencing branch are very helpful and can clear the air regarding any confusions, if in dowbt, or conflicting advice here then call them on
