Agreed it would, you only have to look at something like the FKS TV onboard stuff (I think that was mounted somewhere around the nose/nassau/steering support area.
Anything mounted to the kart is going to vibrate to some degree unless some kind of insulating feature is incorporated between the camera and the chassis member or superstructure it is attached to, either something like silicon damping between mount and the camera, or some rather amazing optical stabilisation in the camera. Which would adds= complication and weight to the mount.
Which is why I always favour the driver, the design of the human being is a wonderful thing for ocular stabilisation, neck damping, etc. It's why I favour to one side of a lid, as close to the human eye as possible.
