1) if you have a piece of 4x4 the full width of the kart infront of the rear wheels it cant 'vibrate' off it! I've done this hundreds of times and it just cant, especially if you have your foot braced against the rear bumper.
2) I never said rope, I said strap, Seat belt is best and you only wrap it round once! Common sense would dictate this but I guess you think everyone is stupid?
And as for making certain that the trottle is not open even a fraction, most 250's wont start without throttle and certainly wont idle on their own. I dont know that last time you raced in 250's or even started one but thats how I and everyone I know (or have asked) starts them on their own if neccessity dictates.
Obviously its better to have someone to help but thats not always possible.
ps, your caps lock key and * key seem to keep sticking on, its very annoying
