Pedantic i may be, but i believe it is necessary to be that way in this situation in order to ensure that readers are clear on the difference between "hardness" and "stiffness", which are frequently miss used in axle descriptions. So, to be clear.. It is possible to have 2 axles with the same stiffness..but with different hardness .and they could likely produce different performance in use on the track.
Also, it is possible to have two axles with different stiffness but the same hardness, that will also perform differently on the track.
and finally, whilst some sprint kart racers are adamant that axles are important in handling set up, few, if any, of the 250 international kart racers ever change their axle s for set up ??
