We have a great family day out.
At the end of the day we are there for drivers and team safety inc spectators. Keeping the day's racing flowing and in a safe envioroment. I still find it hard crossing a live track after 26 yrs of long circuit car Marshaling.
Marshaling is one way of getting in on the action at close quarters, and at times really close.
I like working on track, flagging mostly, but also find working the dummy grid rewarding and at times quite funny listening to the Driver verses Mechanic banter in words of wisdom & excuses, of Quote: If only and why didn't you and told you so. 99% of the time we as Marshal's are appreciated The other 1% is normaly in the heat of the moment and that soon passes.
I think it's amazing the way that the Cadet classes handle themself's on circuit, and off for that matter.
Cheers
