Ian, Some good points but as a complete argument I would have to disagree. Yes you can have too much rear grip, and not just due to a lack of front grip. The reason that F1 drivers do not complain is because they have a differential, we, as you know, do not. If you want to see what too much rear grip looks like feel free to come down to dunks, and I'll show you an impression of a Kangaroo coming the fast corners due to too much rear grip (remember this is out of the corner, not into or through it so its not because the front is washing out) as we need to have a certain amount of 'drift'. Now I appreciate that its going to be different in our gearbox karts to direct drives as we tend not to lift rears but instead lift the fronts but the fact that you can have too much rear grip is definitely right.
