Last time me and my dad tried to rebuild our own engines was when 100 Britain was about.....needless to say my engines were rubbish and I dare say if we tried to do them again they would also be rubbish! The point I'm trying to make is that the fact I'm allowed to do it gives me most average karters any benefit! plus the Fiche still sounds like it will encourage people to go looking for good barrels etc.....!?
As for the vega tyres they have always been inconsistent this season wasn't anything new! It just so happened to be much worse at the start of the year! If vega or their importers had warned of all these issues early in the season or offered me money back on tje crap they sold me or even apologised I'd be open to these new tyres and therefore the new class! As it stands I'd rather hack my nuts off with a blunt rusty knife than give them another penny of my hard earned money! If the promoters fancy giving me some free chassis, engines, tyres etc and my money wasnt at risk from yet more dodgy tyres or barrels then I'd probably come race as well....until then I'll carry on living in hope someone sets up a class in karters interest not tyre or chassis importers....
