I looked at both when we started late last year and while the comer's are supposedly quicker, when you look at the best lap times around our local tracks its not always the case, and if it is, its only a couple of tenths at most. I put that down to the skill of the drivers rather than engine power. I went down the honda route for 2x main reasons -1. I didn't like (or afford) the idea of having to run 2x engines and rebuild them every 10hrs at �200 a time (a brand new honda is �200 out of the box). 2. As someone with very limited mechanical knowledge the benefit of just pull, tickover as long as you want and go was very appealing.
Majority of hondas around our way (South) are project one chassis, but understand people run Wright's etc further up north.
See if you can test a Honda and then make up your own mind, everyone is always going to recommend what they run
