Shock an actual question about karting! (Is that allowed?)
I do not know why, probably because I'm a sad *** but I was thinking about karts with front brakes and wondering what they were like to drive. Now I do admit I havent driven one, only an old 125 Europa, I think, many moons ago, and certainly aren't planning on buying one.
So questions that are on my mind.
Don't they completely change your driving style compared to "normal" karts? I like most karters I'm sure use the rear brake to unsettle the rear to aid turn in and semi drift at the exit so you can get the power down earlier as you are in a straight line sooner. Wouldn't having front brakes just give loads of understeer meaning you have to brake in a straight line then turn in and power on later?
Like I say its for no reason other than sadly I've been trying to work it out for a few weeks in my head and I would like to get back to thinking about important things, West Ham, Kiera Knightley etc.
Cheers if anyone has experience of them.
