The thing most none engine builders cant see is what is going on at the very top at super one. The head volume and squish on a rotax is quite a way out when standard (new). Now if your a big team/ engine builder you could run you engine up on castor for a long period to coke the head, then remove the head and profile the coke on a lathe to get exact minimum squish and on the limit head volume. Then after every meeting take head off and check squish and head volume is still within rotax limits - this is easy if you have a sealership. Most customers and average joes cannot break the wire and play this game. Its amazing at how many club event the scrutineers only check squish and yet the head volume could be so illegal. Anybody that raced tkm will know/ feel the difference of a fully coked head.
