It really depends what motivation the club and/or owner has. Paul Fletcher seems keen to promote UK karting and bring international events to the UK but I doubt if profit is a major factor. If you look at the average grid numbers at a PF meeting (pre the new layout) it seems to vary beween 100 and 140 which is less than average grids at Kimbolton, Whilton, Shenington and maybe even Rissington. As these clubs do not own the tracks/land it is more difficult to justify the cost of bringing them up to the standard of PF assuming they could get planning permission. i did a quick count of European tracks with CIK-FIA races in 2011 and there were over 40 with France and Italy having about 10 each. Would enough drivers from Europe be willing to cross the channel (extra cost) even if the CIK-FIA were willing to add another venue? I think PF have been working on this for some time now.
